License agreement

This is a license agreement between you, the user, and mantikora.com managing staff and authors, participants of games.mantikora.com project. If any term of this license agreement shall be judged by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, then the remaining terms will continue in full force and effect. If any dispute arises from this license agreement, the laws of the Czech republic shall govern.

I. Definitions

Material - Image, written document, executable files, downloadable files or any other document or material or any part thereof in known or so far unknown format, placed at mantikora.com web-server or any other known or so far unknown data medium under valid partnership agreement between mantikora.com managing staff and corresponding author of the material.

Author - Author of the corresponding material he has produced respecting all laws, legal directives and regulations and good manners applicable in the state, where the author lives.

Managing staff - Mantikora.com domain owner and the manager of games.mantikora.com project.

User - Mantikora.com web-site visitor, owner or user of a copy of any material.

II. Objective of this license agreement

Objective of this license agreement is to protect the rights and interests of all users, managing staff and authors that participate in games.mantikora.com project.

III. Relationship between this license agreement and copyright law

This license agreement does not cancel or substitute in any way the standard copyright applying to the materials.

IV. License agreement establishment

This license agreement comes into effect and is obligatory for you from the moment you have become a user.

V. Grant of license

Upon accepting this license agreement the user gets right to:

1. Download any materials, which are downloadable, from the web-site mantikora.com for free.

2. Use all services accessible at mantikora.com website.

3. Install your legally possessed copy of any material on a single personal computer only.

4. Make 1 printed hard copy of legally possessed copy of any material (in case that paper hard copy is meaningful) for your personal use only.

5. Make 1 back-up copy of legally possessed copy of any material for your personal use only.

6. Lend or give your legally possessed copy of any material to other person that agrees with this license agreement and respects this license agreement.

7. Create additions (like scenarios, additional rules, adventures for RPGs etc.) to individual materials and publish them at any public place (server) provided that these additions are provided for free and that these additions contain following noticeable statement of similar sense:

'This addition (replace by title) is based on material (replace by title and the name of corresponding author), which is accessible at internet web-site games.mantikora.com.'

8. Use all services offered by mantikora.com web-server for personal use only.

VI. User's liabilities

The user is obligated to:

1. Respect copyright of authors of respective materials.

2. Destroy all illegal copies of materials he/she owns and replace these illegal copies by legally acquired copies of materials.

3. Use the materials and mantikora.com services for personal use only.

4. Protect the interests of authors and managing staff.

5. Not blemish the good name of mantikora.com web-server managing staff and authors.

It is strictly prohibited to:

1. Place any copy of materials on any publicly accessible or generally distributed known or so far unknown data medium without prior permission of author and managing staff.

2. Place any copy of materials on any publicly accessible computer without prior permission of author and managing staff.

3. Deliberately provide any material to person that does not accept this license agreement.

4. Use any material or provide any material to other persons at places, where the admission fee is collected (like gaming clubs).

5. Charge or request donations for any copies of materials.

6. Give or lend any copy of any material to other person for charge.

7. Use any material in in a way that breaches the copyright of corresponding author without prior permission of author and managing staff.

8. Modify or change any material without prior permission of author and managing staff.

9. Place at any web-sites links for a straightforward downloading of materials (i.e. links that enable the visitor to directly download materials from mantikora.com web-server without portraying or entering mantikora.com web-pages).

10. Use information about other mantikora.com users for other than personal purposes or in a discrepancy with the laws of Czech Republic and generally applied principles of correct internet behavior (no spam).

VI. Managing staff statement

1. Managing staff does not warrant that mantikora.com web-server operation and all mantikora.com services shall be uninterrupted or error-free.

2. Managing staff does not warrant that materials shall be error-free.

3. Managing staff and authors shall not be liable to the user or any other person for direct or indirect damages arising as a result of the use of any material or services provided by mantikora.com web-server.

4. Managing staff reserves the right to add, change, modify or terminate any aspect of any mantikora.com service at any time.

5. Managing staff reserves the right to change this license agreement and/or any part thereof, at any time.

6. Managing staff reserves the right to terminate this license agreement and your right to use or receive any services, materials or benefits at any time for any reason or for no reason.

VII. License termination

This license agreement and all liabilities arising from it are valid until this license agreement termination. This license agreement may be terminated by destroying all copies of materials you own. The license termination is automatic on any breach of any of its provisions.
